Guru Purnima is one of the most important religious festivals in the Hindu religion. It is an auspicious day for Hindus which is celebrated on the full moon day of Ashad (July-August) month according to Hindu calendar. It is a special occasion to worship one’s gurus for providing knowledge and guidance to light from darkness (ignorance).
